ProffAid ("we", "our", "the app") is a medical and dental MCQ practice app built for MBBS and BDS students. This policy explains what information the app collects, why it's collected, and how it's protected and used.
Information We Collect
- Account details: your name and email address. Accounts are created by our admin team on your behalf, and you sign in using the credentials provided to you.
- Device information: a device identifier and device name, used only to enforce how many devices your account can be actively logged into at once.
- Practice activity: your MCQ attempts, scores, exam results, and bookmarks, so your progress and history are saved and can be resumed.
- Study material access: records of which documents and reference materials you open within the app.
- Notification token: a device-specific token used to deliver push notifications (new content, match invites, announcements).
- Match/competition activity: if you use the peer-matching feature, basic activity related to those sessions (e.g. match history and results) is recorded.
We do not knowingly collect any information beyond what's needed to run these features, and we don't collect payment details, as the app itself is free to use.
How We Use This Information
- To create, secure, and let you access your account.
- To track and display your practice progress, scores, and bookmarks.
- To enforce reasonable device/session limits and protect accounts from unauthorized sharing.
- To send you relevant in-app notifications.
- To improve app performance, content, and the overall study experience.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using trusted, industry-standard cloud infrastructure. We do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers or other third parties.
Data Retention
Your account and activity data is retained for as long as your account remains active, so your progress and history stay intact across sessions and devices. If you'd like your account or data deleted, you can request this through the in-app support option described below.

- Review or update your profile information from within the app.
- Request account or data deletion at any time.
- Turn off notifications from your device's system settings.
